Camera to code: why we run both

Most studios pick a side — film or AI. We think the interesting work happens when the same team owns the whole pipeline, from the set to the shipped model.

There’s a false choice in the industry right now: be a film studio, or be an AI studio. Pick a lane.

We don’t buy it. The best output we’ve made came from refusing to split the two — shooting something real, then teaching a model to extend it.

The plate still matters

A model is only as good as what it learns from. Generic prompts give generic results because they learned from generic data. When you train on a real, art-directed shoot, the output inherits that craft.

So we still light things properly. We still care about the lens. The camera work isn’t nostalgia — it’s the training data.

Then you scale it

Once the look is captured and the model is tuned, the economics change. A campaign that used to mean re-booking a crew every quarter becomes a library you generate from on demand — same world, infinite cuts.

Camera to code isn’t two services. It’s one pipeline.
